Hey everyone. I just had a blast surprising my dad for his birthday. And by surprise, I mean it was a complete surprise. My dad was meeting up with family and friends down in Cocoa Beach, Florida and I showed up completely unexpected. You can see the fun below!

First, I did some surveillance. They were all meeting at the end of the pier on Cocoa Beach. There is only one way onto the pier, so I planted myself nearby to make sure they arrived and I could plot my next move. When I saw Aunt Theresa walk by with her fiance Dave, I knew my plan was falling into place.

I snuck into the bar at Pelican’s Bar and Grill and surprised my Aunt Theresa. Sorry about the camera going in random directions, but it was hard to do everything at once. The audio is hilarious, though.

And now comes the big reveal. So much fun. In retrospect, glad I didn’t give Poppy a heart attack…

We hung out there for a while and had a great lunch.

We then proceeded down to Coconuts to continue the celebration.

I was able to stay a couple of days, and so had some fun with dad and Aunt Sue. We had all sorts of adventures, like checking out alligators down by the bridge…

One of big highlights of the trip was our day at the beach. Besides reminding myself that I need to take a class on how to apply sunscreen, we all witnessed a truly amazing thing…a circle rainbow. I’ve never seen anything like it. Aunt Sue felt it was a miracle, and I had to agree.

So, in a nutshell, pretty awesome time surprising Poppy. Glad it all worked out and so happy to see my family.
